An architect by profession, an artist by passion!

"Dandelion Dreams & Co. by Kashish Mahajan" was conceived by me as a way to keep myself sane in the busy 9 to 5 work schedule of working as an Architect! I started posting my art on my instagram page started on 14th August, 2017 and that is how my journey began as an artist. My style of work is vibrant, playful and chic! I am a big big sucker for stationery, dogs, plants and pretty stuff! I love making plant doodles and a big endorser of women empowerment and mental health for all. I am basically an endorser of good vibes! Making greeting cards and maintaining an art journals are my strong suites. You can join me along on my artistic journey at:

Things I Love

Since its invention in the mid-20th century, acrylic paint has provided artists with an alternative to toxic, pricey, slow-drying oil paints. Acrylics are not a high-maintenance medium. While you’ll need many (at times expensive) supplies to begin oil painting (paint, solvents, mediums, brushes, rags, gesso, canvas or board, and a ventilated space), you need just four simple tools to get started with acrylics: the paint itself, a brush, a cup of water, and a surface (commonly known to artists as a support). They’re more versatile than any other paint medium and fun and easy to manage and learn to use!

Watercolours are a great mediumthat can be effectively used to represent the artistic vision on a piece of paper. Watercolor paintings are considered a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions, and bright feelings using water-soluble pigments. This medium of art is still very popular nowadays to create modern art! These can be used in a loose style to create patters, backgrounds, florals etc. and also to create detailed and unique masterpieces! They are most fun and versatile form of media!

Découpage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements. Commonly, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cutouts from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers to create amazing and unique pieces of furniture and other items!

Embroidery has been around forever—and that’s hardly an exaggeration. Its roots are ancient, with every culture having some form it in their textile art history. Contemporary artists use the embroidery hoop to create beautiful and therapeutic peices of fabric art that are great for decor and gifting.

The very nature of creating a mandala is therapeutic and symbolic. The shapes and colors you create in your mandala art therapy will reflect your inner self at the time of creation. Your instinct and feeling should inspire and guide you through the process of creation. Ultimately, you will be creating a portrait of yourself as you are when creating the mandala. So, whatever you are feeling at that time, whatever emotions are coming through, will be represented in your mandala art therapy.

DIYs are a perfect way to add some fun to your life and revamp things using materials and tools lying around your house!
